SQL Manager™ 4.0 allows you to administer any number of Watcom 4.0, Sybase SQL Server 4.9, Sybase System 10, Microsoft SQL Server 4.2X and Microsoft SQL Server 6.0 servers from one common interface.

SQL Manager 4.0 provides powerful features to simplify complex administration tasks :

"Plug-In" support for Watcom 4.0, Sybase SQL Server 4.9 and System 10 and Microsoft SQL Server 4.9X and SQL Server 6.0.
Multiple Server support provides data manipulation and maintenance operations across servers. Tasks like Migrating objectsbetween servers, or simultaneously Monitoring Performance of multipleservers, can be performed effortlessly.

Create, drop and reverse engineer Data Devices, Dump Devices, and Login Ids from SQL Manager's intuitive visual Server Object interface.

Have you ever needed to move a set of Tables, Procedures and Views from the test server to production along with all their dependencies (rights/privileges, triggers, rules, defaults and data types)? Would you like to do this in one operation? Has there ever been a need to add a NOT NULL column in the middle of a table populated with data? How productive would it be to create functional system documentation or reverse engineer every object in your database with one mouse click? SQL Window is a full featured Script environment. Execute any complex or simple SQL statements from DDL to stored procedures against a single database or across multiple databases on multiple servers. SQL Window incorporates:

SQL Manager's Extended Alter capability makes adding Not Null columns anywhere in a table, altering column lengths and deletingcolumns from a table a snap.

Capture lock and connection information at preset intervals

Export scripts for all server and database level objects

SQL Manager™ also has a number of tools to monitor the overall performance of SQL Server. Monitor Connection information or Lock usage in real time. Display server statistics, update any server configuration or schedule database backups all from one intuitive visualinterface. SQL Manager™ also provides a graphical display of databaseand log allocation.

Because of SQL Manager's component approach to objects, all DDL associated with an object is maintained during editing. Forexample, if a default is altered or dropped, SQL Manager™ will performall the binding and unbinding routines against all objects dependent onthat default. All rights and privileges are preserved for any objectthat is modified.

SQL Manager's Quick Files are a handy way to keep track of stored files. Through Quick Files SQL Manager™ allows a file to be stored along with it's text description. Single click loading of any Quick File makes Editing files in SQL Window a snap.

Object Groups enable you to associate any number and type of Objects into logical groups. These objects can be treated as a single unit; Migrate the objects contained in a group to a new database, Grant/Revoke rights on the object contained in a group, Drop the objects contained in a group from the database or Export the SQL Syntax for all objects contained in a group.

With PowerBuilder functionality built in, SQL Manager™ will maintain the PowerBuilder extended attributes associated with any table that SQL Manager modifies.

SQL Manager™ requires Microsoft® Windows 3.1 or greater, and will access Sybase® SQL Server 4.9 and Microsoft® SQL Server.
